The Central Florida Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida is a non-profit and non-partisan organization. We are affiliated with the state organization, founded in 1920, and through it with National ACLU. We work to protect, maintain and extend constitutional and other fundamental rights and liberties for all people. Issues we deal with include, but are not limited to, freedom of speech, censorship, separation of church and state, due process, discrimination, search and seizure, voting rights and the right to privacy. Through education, lobbying and litigation, we seek to preserve civil liberties for each new generation.
We do NOT accept cases that deal with the infringement of these rights by private individuals or entities.
